As creative business owners we prioritizes freedom, flexibility and fulfillment. We want to lead a life that we are in love with and make a great living that is profitable and sustainable. It’s not about more, more, more. It’s about creating enough, building wealth and having peace of mind.

As a creative entrepreneur we are the Business Owner, CEO and Talent. We show up in many different ways in our businesses. Often times we are a 1-person show, but we may also rely on freelancers, contractors or virtual assistants. And sometimes wearing all these hats and trying to do all the things can lead to overwhelm and burnout.

When I left my corporate job to open my portrait studio full-time, the main goal was to make money with my camera. I hustled. I reached 6 figures in the first year and I was exhausted. I kept meeting my revenue goals but there had to be a better way.

It took me two full years in business before I figured out how to effectively run my portrait studio like a business with a personal brand, on-point brand messaging, systems, excellent customer experience and campaigns to attract my ideal clients. It also took me that long to figure out that I am the purpose and everything in this business and in my life is generated from me. I have to take care of myself too. I asked myself, what kind of life do I want to lead and how can I build a business to support that?

I am a one woman show that relies on a virtual team and contractors. I prefer to have lean operations, prioritizing simplicity and efficiency in our systems and customer experience. I figured out the roadmap to building a brand and business that I love, that supports me and the life desire.
