Inside the Studio….
This page is dedicated to the topics that come up in the studio.
I’m a learner. And I love to share what I’m learning, reading or consuming. I’m a nerd about neuroscience + mindset. I’m in a business book club that reads lots of business and self improvement books. And I love to escape through spicy romance novels. I’m sharing it all here as it happens.
Neuroscience + Mindset
My go-to source is Dr. Joe Dispenza. I did a week long meditation retreat in 2024 and it was transformative. And for the past year, I’ve gotten up an hour early to meditate everyday. I feel calmer. I trust more divine timing more. And I have more head and heart alignment. I also follow a couple of people on instagram that are changing lives.
🧠 For beginners in the Dr. Joe world check out his book Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself. I’ve been listening to a workshop on Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself and it’s really good for applying to your everyday life. Also check out his documentary on the week long meditation retreats that I did: The Source. Your thoughts and feelings create your personal reality. These are road maps to breaking the cycle that is keeping you stuck.

Business Books
I’m in a business bookclub with a group of intelligent women that are making a real impact in the world. Here is what we are currently reading:
📙 Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy by Sheryl Sandberg (Author), Adam Grant (Author)
📘 Another Adam Grant book that we read last year that I found great value in was Hidden Potential: The Science of Achieving Greater Things.
Entertainment
📚 Lately, I started reading spicy romance novels as my nightly entertainment. What I love about the series I’m currently reading, The Windy City Series by Liz Tomeford, is that the books balance lighthearted moments with emotional depth, providing readers with a rollercoaster of feelings and memorable experiences. The females in the books are characters who are independent, resilient, and often challenge societal norms. The first book in particular I like for the body positivity.
I’ve been reading them for free on Kindle. So far I’ve read the first two and am currently reading the third book.
🌶️ Mile High (Windy City Series Book 1)
🌶️ The Right Move (Windy City Series Book 2)
