Client Spotlight - Jenny Kemp Watson

The heart of my shoots are to create a safe place for my clients to feel seen, heard and beautiful. That all creates for an empowering and confidence building experience. I see that ripple effect in their lives over and over again. And even if it is, that you walk a little taller or show up more confidently, that is the greatest gift I can give another human being. And that’s what I live for.

We are multifaceted people and have different aspects of ourselves. Some we show to people and some we do not. And some we don’t even see in ourselves but others do. It is my job to bring it all out, capture and show it back to you.

Jenny is from my home town. It was such an honor to reconnect with her; to hold space for her to be vulnerable and reconnect with herself. She came in with her mood board and it was really thoughtful. She gave love to every part of who she is…the fun girl that she is with her girlfriends with the tacos and champagne look, the casual and comfy girl, the sexy, glamorous girl, the moody and the vulnerable. She brought that coffee mug in to be used in a shoot because that is her everyday in jeans, white shirt drinking her tea out of her favorite mug.

I love that when we had her reveal she would look at her images and say, I love her and I love her. It made me smile to see someone greet themselves with so much love and feast on their life and being. What an amazing thing to be a part of.

I always ask the same four questions to clients. Below are Jenny’s responses.

  1. How did this experience affect your overall morale?
This was an amazing experience. After hair and makeup, I felt so beautiful. And not just on the outside. It Gave me a new perspective of who I am on the inside.

  2. Why did you decide to do a photoshoot in the first place?
My photo shoot experience was intended to make me do a little internal work. To dig deep on the inside. And find out what parts of me I want to share with the outside world.

  3. Would you recommend this to your friends and why?
I would definitely recommend this experience for anyone, especially female friends and someone going through transition. When you’re able to look at the photographs, they are parts of who you are that you have forgotten. The photographs reflect that back to you.

  4. Why do you think this is important for other women to do?
This experience is so empowering. You’re able to show so many different parts of who you are. You’re able to be strong and beautiful and even vulnerable. It’s just a beautiful experience to have.
